Award Categories for 2018

For 2018 there are 8 award categories open to anyone with a strong connection to the Hutt City and who are aged 12-21 (inclusive). Please note that nominees can only be nominated for one category so be sure to choose the best category that shows off your talents to the judges the best. The Label & Litho Hutt City Youth Award for Leadership

To recognise a young person in the Hutt who displays outstanding leadership skills and qualities.

The Hodge Group Hutt City Youth Award for Entrepreneurship​

To recognise a young person in the Hutt who displays entrepreneurial spirit and who demonstrates the potential to be a future business leader.

The GNS Hutt City Youth Award for Science and/or Technology

To recognise a young person in the Hutt who has demonstrated innovation in the STEMM areas: science, maths, engineering, manufacturing, and technology.

The WelTec/Whitireia Hutt City Youth Award for Service to the Community

To recognise a young person who has made a significant contribution to Lower Hutt through voluntary service.

The Westpac Hutt City Youth Award for Overcoming Adversity​

To recognise a young person in the Hutt who has overcome challenges to achieve success.

The Goodtime Music Academy Hutt City Youth Award for the Arts​

To recognise a young person in the Hutt has achieved success in, or made a significant contribution to, the performing, visual, or literary arts.

The Hutt News Hutt City Youth Award for Contribution to Sport​

To recognise a young person in the Hutt who has made a significant contribution to sport.

The Hutt City Youth Council Youth Award for Embracing Diversity

To recognise a young person who has made the Hutt a better place to live by embracing diversity and developing connections between people.
