Who's eligible?
The Hutt City Youth awards have been established to recognise young people in Lower Hutt. In order to qualify, the nominee:
- Needs to be able to demonstrate that they:
- Live in Lower Hutt; and/or
- Go to a school or educational facility in Lower Hutt; and/or
- Work in Lower Hutt; and/or
- Are associated with a club or group in Lower Hutt; and
- Are aged between 12-21 inclusive on 16 October 2019.
How do I nominate?
There are a number of ways that you can nominate someone for an award.
Website
The easiest way to submit a nomination for the awards is via the website. Simply head to our nomination page and fill out the required form. If you want to send any supporting documents with your application, you can do that there too.
Alternatively, you can fill out the downloadable form (in Word and PDF formats) and email this back to us at info@huttcityyouthawards.co.nz, along with any supporting documentation.

If you prefer to send a physical copy, you can do so by completing the application form and sending it to Hutt City Youth Awards, PO Box 30450, Lower Hutt, 5040.

Do the winners receive anything?
Thanks to our sponsors, we are proud to award all winners a cash prize of $500 on top of an official certificate that will be presented at the award ceremony.
Runners up will receive a Queensgate Shopping Centre gift card.
When do nominations close?
In order for our judging panel to meet and consider all of the applications, all nominations including any supporting documentation that you wish to send in must be received no later than 6pm on 6 September 2019.
When is the awards ceremony?
The awards ceremony will be taking place on 17 October 2019 at WelTec in Lower Hutt
